I have definately been slack on keeping up with blogging! Oops...
Whats been going on lately... hmmm It seems like a recurring theme is 'relationships'. Everyone, for the most part, longs for companionship and there seems to be so many obstacles in finding a true love relationship! I hear people's problems all the time in regards to this journey. The biggest issues seem to be unreturned love, people letting fears get in the way of allowing themselves to express love, prioritizing, and lack of open communication. I do wish for everyone to experience true love! It is a beautiful gift to find a companion to share life with. I think that sometimes people desire this relationship SO strongly, that they neglect two other very important relationships- their relationshipwith God and their relationship with themselves. I'm going to touch on our relationships with ourselves.
Ideally, I'd like to think that I would not make my happiness dependent upon another person, especially a man! Mostly because, I believe we need to love ourselves before we can love another fully, and before we can truly accept love into our lives. I honestly think that some people unknowingly sabotage their relationships because inside they do not believe that they deserve them. How sad! Of course we all deserve love! Love is our true essence! We are so hard on ourselves sometimes. So, that being said, I really do feel that relationships are more successful when we are happy with ourselves and we are not dependent upon thisother person to feel good.
Another obstacle that we place upon ourselves, is not allowing ourselves to heal from past relationships. When we hold onto fear and unforgiveness to past partners, then we carry this negativity that creates blocks in our current relationships. This is a continuing process sometimes, but it really is important to let go of that past hurt. To take that leap can be very scary....but it is worth it! Try your best to love as though you have never loved and lost before.... it is so much more fulfilling to allow love to radiate than to stifle it or resist it. :) Open the door for yourself! The door to true love awaits.... please don't be afraid to embrace it.
