Thoughts for today...

Hello!
I hope that January has been treating you well. I send out prayers for healing and hope to everyone affected by the earthquake in Haiti. Amongst the tragedy, it is heart warming to see people in the world band together to help everyone there. There is a lot of love in the world. It is good to focus on the good in people.
I've been thinking a lot about creating opportunities for ourselves, acknowledging open doors, as well as acknowledging our own potential. It seems easiest to keep our dreams as dreams instead of bringing them into reality. We convince ourselves of 'reasons' why its impossible or why there are too many obstacles in our way. These are excuses- fear. I'm familiar with this- I do it myself with my photography and writing. I wonder what the true fear is? Of potential failure? Maybe even of the success? Hmmm..... Wayne Dyer has a book out called "Excuses No More". I watched the PBS special about it and would like to get my hands on a copy of the book. I know already it will be wonderful so I will go ahead and recommend it. The biggest thing that "hit me" from watching him speak on tv on this matter was when he said that money should never prevent us from fulfilling our dreams, our mission/purpose in life. What a big statement. I grew up surrounded by people and the belief that would instantly react to that statement with "But... without money you can't do this.. or... but I can't afford this or that". What a much more wonderful, appealing way of thinking that ..whatever is meant to come is on it's way and that the universe if filled with unlimited possibilities and unlimited abundance for all of us.

Every journey begins with one step, the second step and so on... SO I updated another website of mine www.pamelamichellephotography.com as one of my first steps. I think it may be time for me to open a door or two for myself.
